Totus Tuus

As part of VIII Lubiński Wieczór Papieski [the 8th Evening Event commemorating the Pope John Paul II] an amazing concert „Totus Tuus” was held in the church under the invocation of St. John Bosco in Lubin. An amateur choir, the members of which had been selected during auditions, performed the concert together with the National Brass Band. Therefore, also amateurs, supported by professional musicians, could participate in the concert. Mariusz Dziubek, Director of the National Brass Band, prepared new arrangements of pieces of music close to the heart of St. John Paul II. The concert – which was a tribute to Karol Wojtyła, who was elected to become the Head of the Catholic Church on 16 October 1978, showed that even in difficult times music can be a remedy for everything.
